We recently had the honour of catering an opulent wedding in the foothills of Byron Bay and we’re excited to share the details of this magical event with you! Ali and Max both work in the USA, in the fashion industry. They both have impeccable tastes and were enthusiastic to create a night of wonders for their guests. As a professional catering company and being mindful of various but specific dietary requirements, our team worked closely with the couple to create a menu that reflected their personal tastes, the significance of the occasion and our beautiful region products.

The Venue and Ambiance

Set against the backdrop of Byron Bay surrounded by tall trees and beautiful Nature, Victoria Park venue is nothing short of picturesque! Its location provides for our wedding catering service the perfect setting to create our magic! The soft glow of fairy lights, the tables, the astonishing floral arrangements, all this created a truly enchanted atmosphere. Guests were greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance promising an evening of unforgettable memories, with goodies to bring home!

The night was truly unforgettable! The day after the ceremony and banquet, we had the pleasure to cater for brunch with our power couple’s related and closed ones at the bride’s family home.

Our custom menu was a harmonious blend of flavours and cultures, reflecting the couple’s diverse tastes and their love for vibrant, colourful dishes.

The celebration began with a selection of delightful appetizers that set the tone for the evening. Guests enjoyed delicate fish ceviche with pineapple Pico de Gallo, Haloumi parcels, Zucchini fritters and stunning beef carpaccio crostini. Each bite was crafted to tantalize the taste buds and leave guests eagerly anticipating the main course.

Between the entrées and the main courses, we offered a variety of dishes that catered to different preferences and dietary needs. Highlights included:

  • Tamarind & Orange marinated chicken thighs, with pomegranate, walnuts and parsley dressing: Tender chicken marinated in a blend of fresh herbs and spices, slow-cooked to perfection, and served with a rich, flavourful sauce.
  • Ocean Trout tarator style: colourful and aromatic fish with an unctuous and scrumptious sauce
  • Cauliflower heads, stuffed with chickpeas and served with herb dressing.
  • Gourmet Salads and sides: A selection of vibrant salads, including a crisp green salad with tomatoes, aged fetta and sumac dressing, Bean butter purée served with eggs and dukkha, Our famous bejewelled rice, Fried polenta chips with capsicum aioli…

No wedding feast is complete without a touch of sweetness. It was a visual and culinary delight, featuring:

  • Tropical fruit zesty trifle in individual cups: A creamy and fragrant dessert infused with the delicate flavours of these sultry fruits
  • Filo cigars with pistachio aka Nut Fingers: Traditional pastry filled with a rich mixture of nuts and orange blossom syrup, providing a satisfying crunch with every bite.

The day after, our gourmet buffet was inviting the guests to awaken with style and flavours. Smoked fish, French pastries, the best Babka in the whole world (no kidding), cheeses, fruits, salads…
