Hi beautiful foodie friends!
Open Table will be hosting a new round of cooking workshops at our fabulous commercial kitchen in Myocum, Byron Bay. Starting in late January we have the following 2 workshops planned –
Learning the basics of spice selection and combination, we will prepare dishes such as vegetable couscous, a meat dish in the tagine and a variety of cold and warm salads. We will explore condiments such as marinated olives, chutneys, preserved lemons and their complimentary dishes.
To complete this immersion into culinary heaven, the class will make sweet briouats – filo cigars that are filled with a nut and almond paste & showered with rosewater or orange blossom syrup.
We will create a menu suitable for the Summer season and use available local produce as we travel on a gypsy journey of the senses with dishes from all over the world… by the end of the day we will have explored a whole global carnival of vegetarian and vegan food.
